ESOTERIC MEANING: BUTTERFLY BEHIND THE BARS OF THE MIND
A butterfly has an esoteric symbolism. It means a transformation in short.
The butterfly is born on earth, then voluntarily goes through the cocoon to emerge ( painfully) as a beautiful one that escapes and becomes ultimately free to roam and explore life. This also signifies the human spirit. The butterfly and the process outlined also signifies how children transform into adults as they explore life.
Butterfly behind the prison of the mind signifies the inability and pain of not exploring life and gaining the life experience it was meant to do.

CAUSE?
The COVID situation hits high-school students the most. The real reason is the “isolation”.
Isolation from friends, Isolation from the physical world. Isolation from nature. Isolation from the from nearly everything. Thats the prison.
The second state of isolation is not being able to interact and express. Life is a feedback loop in general. The students perspective of life is shaped by the environment – social, material, emotional and spiritual.
The last isolation is the adoption of the virtual world. The computer is the only portal to any life experience now. Theres a lot of information, but the digital world accelerates the isolation further.
Students have a deluge of information, mostly negative – jobs, money, politics, gender, fake news and opinions. Not to forget the constant fear of the disease and the Hegelian Dialectic narrative everywhere.
EFFECT / consequences?
The world in front of the student is simply meaningless. It is a world full of fear, negativity, and insecurity. Trust is absent. The inability to create a change and feeling powerless manifests as anger. It’s the butterfly trapped, fluttering its wings in a world of loneliness inside their “mind prison” of hopelessness that starts shattering the psyche.
Habits start forming. Behaviors start forming. As isolation continues, the feedback loop furthers the behaviors. The brain patterns develop exactly to fit the world in their mind. Slowly, but surely the butterfly gives up.
There is no meaning of existence. There is no purpose as a student. There are no dreams. Drugs become the new realm of escape to be thrown down badly after the effect is over, its back to reality.
Now imagine millions of students globally. All chained. No interest in life. No will. No power. No interest. A “Lost Generation”! This has happened many, many times, if you read history.
THE REAL CONSEQUENCES IN THE LONG TERM FOR THE STUDENT GENERATION

Perhaps your child/children are doing well! Congrats.
But, remember, teens especially will break after some time. One cannot know what’s in their mind. Everyone has their limit. They may be trying to stay strong, so they don’t show their weakness in front of you. At some point, the young elephant gave up because it accepted the “conditioning” and the “institutionalizing” effect.
Even as they grow up as adults later with a good job, assured they would have problems with their own resilience, seeing deep down inside and not having trust in themselves or the world or their friends and even parents.
No one wants anything bad for their children; forget about trying even to be aware of the long-term effects, understand them, accept them, and rising above it by taking action.
Our children will slowly become adults. We do our best to build the foundation. Else, they will be part of a generation that is lost!
cost of doing nothing about it?
We can go on and on and on. Discussion is important to raise awareness, surely. Nothing changes if we don’t do anything about it.
Let’s use ” System Thinking” for a bit. What do students need now?
Interaction but meaningful interaction. The ability to think deeply. To gain clarity inside is key. Then comes “Life Experience.” They need to hear stories about overcoming challenges and problems, not instructions. The next is about skills and sharpening skills. The industry is moving at a jet speed. New systems are replacing old systems. Adapt. The last is –Positivity, Mindfulness, Internal Resilience, Spirituality of being human.
How much would you agree all this is needed? The question is, are we doing it and doing it every day? If we are not, who is doing it?
What is the consequence of doing NOTHING! What is the consequence of doing NOTHING now? That’s why we built the Altus School platform.

How do you build Power internally? How can one have the Power to Create, Innovate, Lead, and Adapt? How do build Communities? How can you keep the Power, instead of giving it up?

Our clear MISSION for the next 10 years is to build a “live” mentorship platform to inspire, uplift, and empower students to take action, find meaning in life through the experience of successful people, and gain experiential knowledge to navigate and adapt during times of change. WE MUST!
Our VISION is to build 1000 student leaders, who go on to make a huge difference in communities and consequently in the lives of others and the whole world. STEP 1
ALTUS finds the speaker and the topic. We choose the Date/Time (8 PM EST)
STEP 2
WE promote it in various Facebook groups that have parents, high school students etc.
STEP 3
Parents, Students and Teachers check the posts and forward it to students or calendar it with the Zoom link and ID information
STEP 4
Students join the call, listen, interact, debate, discuss…have fun! We repeat the process!

We don't know what to expect as no one has built a platform to help students like this, and if this model works. We will at least give it a shot if Parents and Students can cooperate. Does the word "Altus" have a meaning?
Yes! It absolutely does. Altus in Latin means "to rise higher" to "elevate oneself". The word altitude also derives from the word "Altus." We stand for rising higher during COVID. That's our motto and vision.
Cost of Participation
There is NO cost to participants. It is a choice for parents and students. We personally believe that in the end, only a handful will be interested because it will take discipline and leadership to stick around.
Standards & Ethics
We maintain absolutely high standards and ethics on these engagement calls. Bad behavior, disturbing people, and making bad remarks/opinions are NOT tolerated.
Can Parents & Teachers attend?
Please do! Yes, parents and teachers are welcome and we appreciate their participation. As long people do not violate standards and ethics, we are good. Remember Standards and Ethics cover everyone.

We have expanded the charter to create an education platform to spread skills, future work, and help people during COVID times, so we create impact.
