We are the only live mentorship platform where Industry leaders & Top School / Ivy League alumni networks share wisdom, life experience, opportunities, and skills with unconventional high school students who dream of making a difference for themselves and the world, yet don’t have the opportunity or the resources to do so.
Isolation during COVID times has robbed these students of their dreams and numbed them.
We rekindle the spirit, purpose, dreams, and access to opportunities.
We help them “Rise Higher.”

How do you build Power internally? How can one have the Power to Create, Innovate, Lead, and Adapt? How do build Communities? How can you keep the Power, instead of giving it up?

Share your journey about how you succeeded despite all odds. What did you do in the darkest of times? What lessons did you learn? What could you have done if you re-live that experience and situation?
60 MINUTE TO SKILL
Share a skill in the industry, technology, or Workforce-of-the-Future. How should students prepare for it? What should they do now? What are the sources, internships, connections?
AT SOME POINT, STUDENTS LEARN FROM OTHERS, NOT THEIR PARENTS
Parents, YOU are not alone! It is a fact of life. It is what Tony Robbins explains as the “Law of Familiarity.” Students forget to learn from their parents. You may have said the same thing for years that will go unheard, yet the same thing from a very successful person will change a student’s perspectives.
Our students are caught in the “mind prison.” We cannot shade them completely from the situation, but we can only guide and protect them!
The Altus School initiative is a platform where they interact with successful professionals who talk about their tough times, challenges, inspiration, and how they succeeded in life. All interactions live, so they build relationships with people, not gizmos, which creates opportunities for them.
They will “rise higher” as they relate to stories, just like when parents told them stories during bedtime.

NEGATIVITY IS SLOWLY COVERED BY POSITIVITY
Elections. SAT Exam locations closed. COVID. The school is remote. Asynchronous learning is demotivating. No athletics. No friends. No good feeling about their future, the endless negative talk, the insecurity, and the list goes on!
Parents have their own challenges too. Money is never easy. The mortgage is due. FAFSA is due. There is too much on everyone’s minds, and everyone is at the edge!
Your child can be living with you under the same roof, but they can be miles away emotionally. This is the student of today during COVID times! Inspire them by sending them to Altus School. Don’t correct them.
HOW TRANSFORMATION BEGINS FOR THE UNCONVENTIONAL STUDENT
We have clearly explained, the “unconventional” student has a lot of dreams but few opportunities. Being stuck in life is the same sinking feeling as being in jail or losing a loved one. The sinking feeling just multiplies during COVID isolation.
The ONLY way one can get on their feet is using the CARO principle – Clarity, Alignment, and Relationships that create Opportunities!

When the inside, the core is strong, and the heart has a purpose – nothing can ever demotivate the student. Never!
Have you ever seen the clarity of purpose Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Mother Teresa, or Gandhi have? It’s unwavering! That’s why people still remember Martin Luther King. They have a purpose, a mission, a clear idea that aligns the “heart,” the “mind,” and the “guts.”
If there is one thing, Altus School wants to see just one thing as an outcome in students: self internalization by learning from others’ journeys. We all need a coach, an icon, or a story to relate to.
The real problem of today is – the younger generation takes an interest in things, instead of people. When tough times come they need to get back to basics.
ALTUS WILL TRANSFORM THE STUDENT!
Life Experience is everything! That is one of the biggest yardsticks of being successful and happy. We have explained it clearly – the portal of “life experience” cannot be the computer. It has to be with people and their journey.
Perhaps it may or may not matter, but if you look at the snap below, you will clearly observe that MIT wants its students to come with a rich “life experience.” So does all Ivy Leagues. They know the secret!

"The world is changing rapidly. The old rules don't apply. Social isolation has numbed an entire generation of students who hardly have the life experience to learn and share, thus have nearly no purpose, and cannot give life a meaning.
We need to get back to basics during a crisis and mentor students on webcon what they cannot learn at home or school.

Our Mission and Vision
Our clear MISSION for the next 10 years is to build a “live” mentorship platform to inspire, uplift, and empower students to take action, find meaning in life through the experience of successful people, and gain experiential knowledge to navigate and adapt during times of change. WE MUST!
Our VISION is to build 1000 student leaders, who go on to make a huge difference in communities and consequently in the lives of others and the whole world. It is our responsibility to help them pivot into Top Schools, be aligned with the industry, be professionally networked, financially savvy, and build entrepreneurial ventures that make the world a better place.

STEP 1
ALTUS finds the speaker and the topic. We choose the Date/Time (8 PM EST)
STEP 2
WE promote it in various Facebook groups that have parents, high school students etc.
STEP 3
Parents, Students and Teachers check the posts and forward it to students or calendar it with the Zoom link and ID information
STEP 4
Students join the call, listen, interact, debate, discuss…have fun! We repeat the process!

Please check the FAQ sections to understand us a little better. We keep things simple. This is a human impact model by a group of people who believe they can make a BIG difference. We don’t know what to expect as no one has built a platform to help students like this, and if this model works. We will at least give it a shot if Parents and Students can cooperate. We are motivated by helping individuals than trying to change the world! The story below is our guideline.
Does the word "Altus" have a meaning?
Yes! It absolutely does. Altus in Latin means “to rise higher” to “elevate oneself”. The word altitude also derives from the word “Altus.” We stand for rising higher during COVID. That’s our motto and vision.
Cost of Participation
There is NO cost to participants. It is a choice for parents and students. We personally believe that in the end, only a handful will be interested because it will take discipline and leadership to stick around.
Standards & Ethics
We maintain absolutely high standards and ethics on these engagement calls. Bad behavior, disturbing people, and making bad remarks/opinions are NOT tolerated.
Can Parents & Teachers attend?
Please do! Yes, parents and teachers are welcome and we appreciate their participation. As long people do not violate standards and ethics, we are good. Remember Standards and Ethics cover everyone.

We keep these elements out of this platform. Period! We focus on human elements and leadership only. Everyone is equal, every opinion is equal but sensitive topics like those are NOT to be discussed on this platform. Thanks for understanding!
What is Project Starfish?
Project Starfish ( www.pstarfish.org ) is a unique 501C(3) Non Profit that solves unemployment challenges for the blind and those with disabilities. We have expanded the charter to create an education platform to spread skills, future work, and help people during COVID times, so we create impact. Altus School is a part of Project Starfish focusing on education.
